Councilmember .introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #90-06-~ RESOLUTION APPROVING JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF RAMSEY AND ANOKA COUNTY FOR FUNDING OF 19913 CITY OF RAMSEY RECYCLING PROGRAMS WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota Legislature enacted the Select Committee on Recycling and the Environment (SCORE) Legislation which and recycling opportunities and provides for collection of the sales tax on solid waste disposal; and WHEREAS, counties are responsible for the distribution of said funds to municipalities; and WHEREAS, a joint powers agreement between Anoka County and the City of Ramsey is required prior to distribution of funds for municipal recycling programs from the SCORE tax money. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City of Ramsey hereby approves the joint powers agreement between the City of Ramsey and Anoka County regarding full participation by the City of Ramsey in establishing recycling programs pursuant to SCORE legislation and funding from Anoka County regarding the same. 2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the Mayor and City Administrator to sign the joint powers agreement and any other necessary documents required on behalf of the City. Motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the folloWing were absent: whereupon said resolution was duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the th day of June, 1990.
