Councilmembsr moved for its adoption. introduced the following resolution and RESOLUTION 90-06- RESOLUTION REQUESTING MN/DOT TO MAINTAIN CERTAIN MEDIAN CROSS- OVERS ON T.H. 10 WHEREAS, Mn/DOT is in the process of completing a reSurfacing project which includes some safety improvements along T.H. 10 from Anoka to Elk River; and WHEREAS, as part of the project, Mn/DOT is proposing to close off seven median cross-overs in the City of Ramsey located at approximate stations 349, 372, 399, 413, 439, 481 and 488 as shown on Mn/DOT construction plans; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey Road and Bridge Committee met and contacted landowners affected by the proposed median cross-over closings; and WHEREAS, landowners in the area are opposed to the closing of the median cross-over at stations 349, 372, 399 and 481 due to financial impacts or added hardships caused by the closing; and WHEREAS, in March of 1988 the City of Ramsey, Burlington Northern Railroad, Mn/DOT and North Fork, Inc. entered into a stipulated agreement that the median cross-over at the weigh station (station 349) should stay in place at least two years following the completion of the construction of 153rd Avenue. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) Mn/DOT maintain the median cross-over at approximate stations 349, 372, 399 and 481 as shown on the construction plans for State Project No. 0202-64 and 7101-50. 2) The obliteration of median cross-overs at approximate station 413, 439 and 488 take place as part of State Project No. 0202-64 and 7101-50 to improve.the safety of TH 10. 3) The City Council authorizes the City Administrator and Mayor to sign this resolution and the City Administrator is directed to forward a copy of this resolution to Mn/DOT.
