CAS #17.. <br /> <br />FINANCING FOR PUBLIC FACILITIES <br />By: David R. Hartley, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />In the past, the City Council has been approached regarding the need for additional public <br />facilities including Public Works garage, expansion to City Hall, community center/meeting <br />rooms, improvements to parks, etc. The need or demand for these types of public <br />improvements is growing at a faster and faster rate. One of the options for financing such <br />improvements involves approval from the voters in our community. <br /> <br />With the upcoming election presenting the opportunity to ask the voters for authorization to <br />finance any one or several of the aforementioned projects, the City Council may wish to <br />discuss these matters. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Discussion, possibly with direction to staff to assemble a financing plan. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br />City Attorney <br />City Engineer <br />Community Development Director <br />Public Works Supervisor <br /> <br />X <br /> <br />Chief of Police <br />Finance Officer <br />Planning & Zoning Commission <br />Park & Recreation Commission <br />Other <br /> <br /> <br />
