Councilmember moved for its adoption: introduced the following resolution and RESOLUTION 990-07- RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #90-22 (CITY HALL PARKING LOT) WHEREAS, Resolution #90- authorized the preparation of plans and specifications for the above referenced work, and WHEREAS, the following bids were received: Bidder GMH Asphalt Corporation W. B. Miller, Inc. Bituminous Consult. Northwest Asphalt, Inc. Alber Construction Buck Blacktop Barber Construction Amount of Bid $32,719.05 $33,926.25 $34,108.75 $34,846.50 $36,126.25 $39,993.75 $46,687.50 AND WHEREAS, it appears that GMH Asphalt Corporation of Minnetonka, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator/Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with GM}{ Asphalt Corporation in the name of the city of Ramsey for City Hall Parking Lot Improvements in the amount of $32,719.05. 2) That the City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 10th day of July, 1990.
