CASE <br /> <br />CONSIDER REVOCATION OF TRANSFER OF MOTOR VEHICLE~ <br />SALES LICENSE TO 7207 HIGHWAY gl0 N.W. <br /> By: Acting Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />In January of 1990, a motor vehicle sales license was issued to John Hayward to conduct <br />business at 7955 Riverdale Road N.W. as Hayward Auto Sales and Leasing. That <br />following spring, John Hayward approached the City to transfer that motor vehicle sales <br />license to 7207 Highway #10 N.W. and the transfer of license was approved. <br /> <br />Since that time City Staff has determined that 7207 Highway #10 N.W. is not a valid <br />address in the City of Ramsey because the subject property is a vacant lot and address <br />numbers are not issued until a building permit is applied for. In addition, the subject <br />property is zoned I-1 Industrial and motor vehicle sales is not a permitted use in that <br />district. <br /> <br />Enclosed for your information is a copy of the letter issued to John Hayward dated July 9, <br />1990 acknowledging the error in transfer of license and ordering that any motor vehicle <br />sales on the property cease immediately. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />City Staff recommends that the transfer of motor vehicle sales license for John Hayward <br />from 7955 Riverdale Road N.W. to 7207 Highway #10 N.W. be revoked. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to revoke the motor vehicle sales license issued to John Hayward at 7207 Highway <br />#10 N.W. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br />City Attorney <br />City Engineer <br />Community Development Director <br />Public Works Supervisor <br /> <br />X <br /> <br />X <br /> <br />Chief of Police <br />Finance Officer <br />Planning & Zoning Commission <br />Park & Recreation Commission <br />Other <br /> <br /> <br />
