The bids were as follows: <br /> <br />Bidder <br /> <br />Bid Amount <br /> <br />Volk Sewer & Water, Inc. <br />Dave Perkins Contracting <br /> <br />$111,878.87 <br /> 172,935.00 <br /> <br />Our feasibility construction estimates for the project was <br />$120,900. The low bid is approximately 7.5 percent below our <br />feasibility estimate. <br /> <br />Enclosed is a proposed resolution awarding the projects to Yolk <br />Sewer & Water, Inc. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />v~i~l.k Sewer & Water, Inc. is a Brooklyn Park, Minnesota contractor <br />who has previously satisfactorily completed projects in the <br />metropolitan area. Therefore, we recommend that the City adopt the <br />proposed resolution awarding the projects to Yolk Sewer & Water, <br />Inc. in the amount of $111,878.87. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to: <br />Adopt Resolution 90-08- accepting bids for Improvement <br />Project 89-15 and awarding a contract to Volk Sewer & Water, Inc. <br />for such improvements. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />Administrator X <br />Attorney <br />Engineer X <br />Comm.
