A JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT BY AN BE~EEN <br /> THE CITIES OF ANOKA AND RAMSEY <br /> FOR INTERCITY UTILITY SERVICE <br /> <br />This agreement made and entered this day of <br /> <br />19 , by and between the City of Anoka, a municipal cor- <br />poration herein after referred to as "Anoka", and the City of <br />Ramsey, a municipal corporation herein after referred to as <br />"Ramsey". <br /> <br /> WITNE SSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Sections 471.59 <br />authorizes political subdivisions of the State to enter into <br />joint powers agreements for the joint exercise of powers to <br />each, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Anoka and Ramsey share a common border, <br /> <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, construction of a traffic signal system is <br />proposed by the Anoka County Highway Department at County <br />Road #116 and State Highway 47 in Ramsey. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, electrical service for said traffic <br />signals will be provided by the City of Anoka. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, it is mutually stipulated and <br /> <br />agreed: <br /> <br /> 1. Electric facilities needed to provide service to <br /> the above traffic signal systems shall be provided <br /> by the City of Anoka and actual cost incurred will <br /> be billed directly to the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br /> 2. Electrical energy usage shall be metered by the <br /> City of Anoka and billed monthly to the City of <br /> <br /> <br />
