Absent: Chairperson Nixt and Commissioner <br />Shepherd. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Request for a Conditional Use Permit for an Oversized Accessory Building; <br />Case of Don Volner <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Vice Chairperson Johnson opened the public hearing at 7:08 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br />Community Development Director Frolik advised the City received an application from Don <br />Volner for a conditional use permit to exceed the accessory building size restrictions established <br />in City Code on the property located at 8121 154th Avenue NW. She stated this property can <br />have up to 1,488 square feet of accessory building space, and the proposed building will be 1,820 <br />square feet in size. She noted that coupled with the existing garage and shed, the applicant <br />would have 2,496 square feet in accessory building space. She stated Mr. Volner has stated that <br />the existing shed would be removed, and the existing attached garage will be converted into <br />living space prior to the final inspection of the proposed accessory structure. The net result will <br />be an overage of 332 square feet. She indicated Mr. Volner has also agreed to submit a surety, in <br />the amount of $2,000, to ensure that this work will transpire to the completion of the proposed <br />structure.
