SECTION 03300 <br />CAST -IN -PLACE CONCRETE <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.1 DESCRIPTION <br />A. Work included: Provide cast -in -place concrete, including formwork and <br />reinforcement, where shown on the Drawings, as specified herein, and as needed <br />for a complete and proper installation. <br />B. Related Work: Documents affecting work of this Section include, but are not <br />necessarily limited to, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, and <br />Sections in Division 1 of these Specifications. <br />1.2 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A. Use adequate number of skilled workers who are thoroughly trained and <br />experienced in the necessary crafts and who are completely familiar with the <br />specified requirements and the methods needed for proper performance of type <br />work of this Section. <br />B. Comply with "Specifications for Structural Concrete for Buildings," ACI 301, <br />except as may be modified herein. <br />C. ACI 318 "Building Code Requirements for Reinforced Concrete." <br />D. ACI 306R - latest edition "Cold Weather Concreting." <br />E. Provide access for, and cooperate with, the inspector and testing laboratory <br />described in Section 01410 of these Specifications. <br />F. Provide concrete mix designs prepared by an independent testing laboratory. <br />G. Do not commence placement of concrete until mix designs have been reviewed <br />and approved by the Architect and all governmental agencies having <br />jurisdiction, and until copies of the approved mix designs are at the job site and <br />the batch plant. <br />H. Notify Architect and Owner prior to placement of footing concrete, pavement <br />concrete, slab concrete, or wall concrete. <br />I. Tolerances: Troweled finish interior slabs - depression between high spots: do <br />not exceed 1/4" under a 10'-0" straight edge. <br />J. Compression tests: <br />03300-1 <br />
