2) Do not work surface until ready for floating. <br />3) Power float surface on disappearance of water sheen. <br />4) Hand float areas inaccessible to power float. <br />b. Troweled finish: <br />1) Power trowel surface to smooth finish. <br />2) Hand trowel areas inaccessible to power trowel. <br />3) Apply specified curing and <br />sealing compound immediately after troweling. <br />c. Finish concrete at areas to receive topping <br />to insure proper bond with topping. <br />3.9 COLD WEATHER CONCRETING <br />A. Place concrete in cold weather as defined in Section 1.1 of ACI 306R, "Cold <br />Weather Concreting." <br />B. Only accelerators approved by Architect/Engineer prior to use will be allowed. <br />3.10 PROTECTION <br />A. Keep rubber tired machines off floor for 3 days after placement. <br />B. Allow no full construction traffic on floors for 14 days after placement. <br />C. Keep floors, when used, cleaned of nails, sand, and other abrasive materials. <br />3.11 REPAIR OF DEFECTIVE AREAS <br />A. With prior approval of the Architect/Engineer, as to method and procedure, all <br />repair of defective areas shall conform to ACI 301, Chapter 9, except that the <br />specified bonding compound must be used. <br />B. All structural repairs shall be made with prior approval of the <br />Architect/Engineer, as to method and procedure, using the specified epoxy <br />adhesive and/ or epoxy mortar. <br />3.12 NON -SHRINK GROUT <br />A. All column base plates, equipment bases and other locations so noted on the <br />structural drawings, shall be grouted with the specified non -shrink non-metallic <br />grout. <br />3.13 CURING <br />A. On vertical surfaces: After stripping of formwork, remove releasing agent and <br />apply a coat of curing compound. <br />03300-8 <br />
