1. Reinforce masonry walls with vertical reinforcing where indicated on <br />the Drawings. Lay concrete block so cells are stacked. Support bars to <br />maintain clearance between bars and block shells. Fill with 3,000 psi <br />concrete as specified in Section 03300, Cast -In -Place Concrete. <br />G. CLEANING <br />1. Cut out and re -point defective mortar joints. <br />2. Upon completion of the work, clean exposed masonry to remove <br />laitance, excess mortar, efflorescence and stains. Do not use muriatic <br />acid or proprietary cleaning compounds without the prior approval of <br />the Architect. Do not use metal cleaning tools and brushes or abrasive <br />powders. <br />04220-6 <br />
