SECTION 06400 <br />ARCHITECTURAL WOODWORK <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.1 DESCRIPTION <br />A. Work Included: <br />1. Plastic laminate faced cabinets and countertops. <br />2. Cabinet and shelving hardware. <br />3. Wood trim and moldings. <br />4. Plywood. <br />5. Wood ceilings: #1 Select clear pine; lx6 tongue & groove ceilings <br />in lobby & picnic area. <br />B. Related Sections: <br />1. Section 06100 - Carpentry <br />2. Section 08800 - Glazing <br />3. Section 09260 - Gysum Drywall <br />1.2 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Submit shop drawings for review (see Section 01340). <br />B. Submit samples of plastic laminate, wood trim & moldings. <br />1.3 STANDARDS <br />A. Architectural woodwork shall conform to the Architectural Woodwork <br />Institute (AWI) Quality Standards of the Architectural Woodwork Industry. <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.1 PLASTIC LAMINATE FACED CABINET WORK <br />A. Plastic laminate shall conform to NEMA LD-3 as manufactured by <br />Formica, Nevamar, Micarta, Pionite, or Ralph Wilson Plastics. Colors, patterns <br />and finishes shall be selected from manufacturer's standards. <br />B. Plastic laminate faced cabinet work shall be Custom Grade, flush overlay <br />conforming to AWI Sections 400 and 400B latest edition. <br />C. Exposed surfaces and backs of doors shall be faced with 0.028" thick, GP <br />28 plastic laminate with a suede finish. Semi -exposed surfaces shall be faced <br />with 0.020" thick CL 20 cabinet liner. <br />06400-1 <br />
