Insulation products shall contain no asbestos. <br />2.2 MA I'BRIALS <br />A. Rigid Insulation system - Exterior Masonry Walls: <br />Expanded polystyrene, 0.9 PCF (minimum) density, complying with Fed. Spec. <br />HH-1-524C, Type 1, and prelaminated furring stud at 16" o.c., thickness 1-1/2"; <br />insulation shall have shiplap vertical edges. <br />B. Fiberglass batt insulation: Fiberglass conforming to ASTM C665, Type 1. <br />1. Roof/Ceiling:12" thickness; R=40 <br />2. Exterior Walls: 6" thickness; R=19 <br />C. Vapor Barrier: 4 mil polyethylene. <br />D. Adhesive for rigid insulation: Type recommended by insulation manufacturer, <br />capable of securely adhering insulation to applicable surface. <br />07210-1 <br />
