SECTION 074113 - STANDING SEAM ROOF PANELS <br />GENERAL <br />1.1 RELATED DOCUMENTS <br />A. Drawings and general provisions of the Contract, including General and <br />Supplementary Conditions and Division 01 Specification Sections, apply to this <br />Section. <br />1.2 SUMMARY. <br />A. Work described in this section includes pre -formed metal roofing system complete <br />with clips, perimeter and penetration flashing, closures, gutters, and downspouts. <br />B. Related work specified elsewhere: <br />1. Structural steel. <br />2. Steel joists. <br />3. Metal roof decks. <br />4. Wood roof decks. <br />5. Metal fabrications. <br />6. Rough carpentry. <br />7. Flashing and sheet metal. (Not roof panel related). <br />8. Air barrier and vapor retarder. <br />9. Thermal insulation. <br />10. Sealants. <br />1.3 DESIGN AND PERFORMANCE CRITERIA. <br />A. Uniform Wind Uplift Load Capacity. <br />1. Installed roof system shall withstand negative wind uplift pressures complying <br />with the following criteria. <br />a. Design Code: ASCE 7, Method 2 for Components and Cladding. <br />b. Safety Factor: As determined in accordance with AISI S100 section D6.2.1, <br />but in no instance shall the safety factor be taken to be less than 1.67 for any <br />roof or wall zone. The provisions of Section D6.2.1 a of Appendix A shall <br />NOT be applicable for this project. <br />B. Fire Resistance Classification: The panel system shall be listed as a Class A Roof <br />Covering, as determined by UL 790. <br />METAL ROOF PANELS 074113 - 1 <br />
