SECTION 07450 <br />FIBER REINFORCED CEMENTITOUS PANELS <br />1) GENERAL <br />a) SECTION INCLUDES <br />i) Fiber reinforced cement panel siding system. <br />ii) Accessories required for complete installation. <br />b) RELATED SECTIONS <br />i) Section 06100 - Rough Carpentry: Wood framing. <br />ii) Section 06114 - Wood Blocking: Wood blocking supports. <br />iii) Section 06160 - Sheathing. <br />iv) Section 07210 - Building Insulation: Acoustic and Thermal insulation. <br />v) Section 07900 - Joint Sealers. <br />c) REFERENCES <br />i) ASCE 7 - Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and Other Structures. <br />ii) ASTM C 1186 - Standard Specification for Flat Non -Asbestos Fiber -Cement Sheets. <br />iii) ASTM E 84 - Standard Test Method for Surface Burning Characteristics of <br />Materials. <br />iv) ASTM E 330 - Standard Test Method for Structural Performance of Exterior <br />Windows, Doors, Skylights and Curtain Walls by Uniform Static Air Pressure. <br />d) SYSTEM DESCRIPTION <br />i) Performance Requirements: <br />(1) Design and size components to withstand live loads caused by pressure of <br />wind acting normal to plane of wall as calculated in accordance with <br />ANSI/ASCE 7, and as measured in accordance with ANSI/ASTM E 330. <br />(2) Deflection: Provide system capable of withstanding wind loading within the <br />following limitations: <br />(a) No permanent deformation is acceptable. <br />(3) Design system to accommodate, without damage to system, components or <br />deterioration of seals; movement within system; movement between system <br />and perimeter framing components; dynamic loading and release of loads; <br />and deflection of structural support framing. <br />(4) Design to accommodate vertical inter -story movement and provide an <br />allowance for the following tolerances: <br />(a) Building floor slab live load differential deflection. <br />(b) Structural creep. <br />07450-1 <br />
