1.5 PRODUCT HANDLING <br />A. Comply with pertinent provisions of Section 01640. <br />1.6 WARRANTY <br />A. Provide a 20-year written warranty for color -coated sheet metal covering color <br />fade, chalk, and film integrity. <br />B. Sheet metal contractor shall furnish a written warranty countersigned and <br />guaranteed by the General Contractor, stating that all sheet metal roofing, flashing <br />and counterflashing executed under this Section will be maintained in a watertight <br />condition and that all defects resulting from faulty workmanship, defective <br />materials and ordinary wear and tear will be replaced without additional cost to <br />the Owner for a period of 2 years from the date of substantial completion of the <br />General Construction Work. <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.1 MA I'ERIALS <br />A. Pre -Finished metal: Pre -finished steel - 24 gauge hot dipped galvanized steel <br />ASTM G-90 Coating ASTM 525, as provided by Berridge Manufacturing <br />Company. Color selection from metallic colors. <br />B. Sheet Metal: Zinc coated commercial quality comply with ASTM A526 and lock <br />forming quality complying with ASTM A527 with minimum of 0.20% copper <br />content; hot -dip galvanized to comply with ASTM, G-90, mil phoshatized if to <br />receive paint finish; 24 ga. (0.0239") unless otherwise indicated on the Drawings, <br />or specified herein. <br />C. Solder: ASTM B-32, 50% pig lead and 59% block tin (new materials) for ferrous <br />metals, flux as required. <br />2.2 FABRICATION <br />A. Shop fabricate metal flashing, trim, expansion joints, scuppers, copings and similar <br />items to comply with profiles and sizes shown, and to comply with standard <br />industry details. <br />07600-2 <br />
