3.2 INSTALLATION <br />A. Placing frames: <br />1. Where practicable, place frames prior to construction of enclosing walls <br />and ceilings. <br />2. Set frames accurately into position, plumbed, aligned, and braced <br />securely until permanent anchors are set. <br />3. After wall construction is completed, remove temporary braces and <br />spreaders, leaving surfaces smooth and undamaged. <br />4. At in -place construction set frames and secure to adjacent construction <br />with machine screws and suitable anchorage devices. Provide "Z" fillers <br />at each screw location. <br />5. When installed in prepared openings in concrete construction, provide <br />sealant between frame and concrete in accordance with provisions of <br />Section 07900 of these Specifications. <br />3.3 ADJUST AND CLEAN <br />A. Final adjustment: <br />1. Check and readjust operating finish hardware items in hollow metal <br />work just prior to final inspection. <br />2. Leave work in complete and proper operating condition. <br />3. Remove defective work and replace with work complying with the <br />specified requirements. <br />B. Immediately after erection, sand smooth all rusted and damaged areas of prime <br />coat, and apply touchup of compatible air -drying primer. <br />08100-3 <br />
