SECTION 08610 <br />WOOD WINDOWS <br />PART 1- GENERAL <br />1.1 DESCRIPTION <br />A. Work included: Provide wood windows where shown on the Drawings, as <br />specified herein, and as needed for a complete and proper installation. <br />B. Related work: <br />1. Documents affecting work of this Section include, but are not necessarily <br />limited to, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, and Sections <br />in Division 1 of these Specifications. <br />2. Section 06400 - Architectural Woodwork <br />3. Section 07900 - Sealants <br />1.2 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Submit shop drawings reference Section 01340, Submittals. <br />1.3 PRODUCT HANDLING <br />A. Provide protective coverings for materials prior to shipping. Protect during <br />transit, handling, and storage to prevent damage, soiling and deterioration. <br />B. Contractor shall receive, inventory, and store in dry location and stack in <br />accordance with manufacturer's directions. <br />1.4 WARRANTY <br />A. Submit manufacturer's warranty for full life of installation. <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.1 MANUFACTURER AND TYPE <br />A. Metal clad wood windows, double hung type shall be as manufactured by: <br />Marvin Window Company or approved equal. <br />1. Frame and sash sections shall be combination kiln dried selected wood on <br />the exterior with extruded aluminum. <br />2. Provide jamb extensions as required. <br />3. Exterior trim and mullion joiners shall be provided as required for a <br />complete installation. <br />4. Finishes: <br />a. Color to be selected by Owner. <br />08610-1 <br />
