SECTION 09900 <br />PAINTING <br />PART 1- GENERAL <br />1.1 DESCRIPTION <br />A. Work included: <br />1. Cleaning and preparation of all surfaces to be painted. <br />2. Painting and finishing as scheduled. <br />B. Related work: <br />1. Documents affecting work of this Section include, but are not necessarily <br />limited to, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, and Sections <br />in Division 1 of these Specifications. <br />1.2 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A. Use adequate numbers of skilled workers who are thoroughly trained and <br />experienced in the necessary crafts and who are completely familiar with the <br />specified requirements and the methods needed for proper performance of the <br />work of this Section. <br />1.3 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Comply with the pertinent provisions of Section 01340. <br />B. Submit complete schedule of materials, colors and finishes. <br />1.4 PRODUCT HANDLING <br />A. Comply with pertinent provisions of Section 01640. <br />B. Store in heated space above 40 Degrees F. temperature. <br />1.5 EXTRA STOCK <br />A. Upon completion of the work of this Section, deliver to the Owner an extra stock <br />equaling 10% of each color, type, and gloss of paint used in the Work, tightly <br />sealing each container, and clearly labeling with contents and location where <br />used. <br />09900-1 <br />
