Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #13 -11 -183 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ISSUANCE OF AN INTERIM USE PERMIT TO <br />ALLOW FOR PERIODIC TEMPORARY LODGING ACCOMMODATIONS BASED ON <br />FINDINGS OF FACT #0918, AND DECLARING THE TERMS OF SAME. <br />WHEREAS, Family Promise in Anoka County has properly applied to the City of Ramsey <br />(the "City ") for an interim use permit to provide periodic, temporary lodging accommodations in <br />a secondary building on the property located at 14501 Nowthen Blvd NW and legally described <br />as follows: <br />Lot 1, Block 1, Stoney River Addition, except road subject to easement of record, <br />Anoka County, Minnesota <br />(the "Subject Property "); and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission met on November 7, 2013, conducted a public <br />hearing and recommended that the City Council approve the request to provide periodic temporary <br />lodging accommodations in the secondary building on the Subject Property for a term of five (5) <br />years; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council met on November 26, 2013 to review the request for an <br />interim use permit to provide periodic temporary lodging accommodations in the secondary <br />building on the Subject Property. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />This permit is issued pursuant to Section 117 -52 of the Ramsey City Code. The conditions of this <br />permit are as follows: <br />1) Based on Findings of Fact #0918, an Interim Use Permit ( "Permit ") to allow periodic <br />temporary lodging accommodations on the Subject Property is hereby granted to Family <br />Promise in Anoka County ( "Permittee "). <br />2) The term of the Permit shall commence on November 26, 2013 and shall expire five (5) years <br />thereafter (November 26, 2018) or upon implementation of a long -term solution to address this <br />use, whichever comes first. <br />3) This Permit is applicable only to periodic temporary lodging accommodations on the Subject <br />Property. Moreover, this Permit shall only authorize the periodic temporary lodging <br />accommodations to occur within the secondary building generally known as 14515 Nowthen <br />Blvd NW (the "Building "). The granting of this Permit does not allow for any other use that <br />is prohibited in the R -1 Residential District. <br />
