APPOINTMENTS TO HORSE CARE COMMISSION BY: Kay McAloney, Personnel Coordinator Background: Chapter 110.078 of Ordinance itt90-11 authorized the establishment of a Horse Care Commission to assist the Community Development Department in resolving complaints from those persons aggrieved by horses, to investigate complaints, to advise horse owners against whom complaints have been lodged and to recommend to the City Council appropriate action. The ordinance states that the City Council shall appoint five (5) persons to the Horse Care Commission, including when possible a representative of the largest horse-oriented association or club within the City and any other person who the City Council feels is qualified to serve. An advertisement was put in the Ramsey Resident Newsletter requesting applications for the Commission. Observations: Letters of application were receivedby Elmer and Judy Kuemper, Sharon Niles, Vicki Brockamp, Harvey Wibeto, Dorothy Breu and'Barbara Scottston. These letters of application have been attached for your reviewal. Applicants have been notified by letter that the case will be before the City Council at the September 10, 1990 meeting at 7:30 p.m. and that their presence is optional. None of the applicants is presently serving on another board or commission for the City of Ramsey.
