Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION # 14-01-012 <br />RESOLUTION TO PROMOTE THE CURRENT COMMUNITY SERVICE OFFICER <br />TO THE POSITION OF FIRE MARSHAL <br />WHEREAS, the City Council directed staff to begin a process to fill the position that was <br />vacated by the resignation of the former Fire Marshal, Mr. Matt Kohner, and <br />WHEREAS, staff conducted a five day internal recruitment for a Fire Marshal; and <br />WHEREAS, staff recommends promoting Mr. Carey Schiferli, effective <br />January 15, 2014, to the position of Fire Marshal, at step 1 of the wage scale, which is <br />$27.79 per hour. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br />Motion to approve resolution #14-01-012, to promote Mr. Carey Schiferli, <br />effective January 15, 2014, to the position of Fire Marshal, at step 1 of the wage <br />scale, which is $27.79 per hour. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member, <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this the 14th day of January, 2014. <br />
