These glacial till layers act as an aquitard between the <br />upper sands and buried outwash units. The range of TOT's for each glacial till layer, <br />however, suggests that the geologic make-up of the till layers are quite variable. This <br />could limit the ability of the glacial till layer to act as an aquitard and thereby allowing a <br />greater possibility of any potential groundwater impacts to reach the lower sand/bund <br />outwash aquifer. This aquifer is currently used as a water supply source by local <br />residents and businesses. <br /> <br />18 <br /> <br /> <br />
