These glacial till layers act as an aquitard between the upper sands and buried outwash units. The range of TOT's for each glacial till layer, however, suggests that the geologic make-up of the till layers are quite variable. This could limit the ability of the glacial till layer to act as an aquitard and thereby allowing a greater possibility of any potential groundwater impacts to reach the lower sand/bund outwash aquifer. This aquifer is currently used as a water supply source by local residents and businesses. 18
