Ramsey but at this point, he .cannot make any commitments. He complimented the City of <br />Ramsey on a job well done. <br />Mayor Ramsey stated that our "heartburn" right now is the TPP. We have to make some tough <br />decisions as a City. <br />Councilmember Wise stated he is a business owner in Ramsey and his taxes have gone up <br />because we have taken some of these businesses out of the tax rolls. To the Met Council <br />representatives, he stated "whatever we can do to influence the Met Council to regain some of <br />that tax base — let us know ". <br />Councilmember Elvig expressed that he is proud of his community and talked about what we <br />know we want. If we get money, we will put ten times that money into it. <br />Met Councilmember Reynoso suggested that he did not think there is any other community that <br />is as aggressive as Ramsey is and he stated he would commit to discuss these issues. <br />Councilmember Jeffrey noted that Met Councilmember Reynoso comes with an expressive set of <br />credentials. He asked how the City can keep its information/issues in front of Mr. Reynoso and <br />how can we hear back - and added that we want to do this without irritating Mr. Reynoso. <br />Met Councilmember Reynoso stated that during his day job he deals with politics. He makes his <br />relationships by saying he will get back to someone and he does. He added that Ramsey <br />reaching out to him would not irritate him. <br />Councilmember Jeffrey added that the City of Ramsey would go that extra mile. <br />Councilmember McGlone stated that the City of Ramsey has been more than a willing partner — <br />we are committed — this is all very important to us. <br />Ms. Hoyt stated that Ramsey staff is "on it" and are great problem solvers. She appreciated the <br />chance to get to tell the Ramsey City Council about their (the Met Council) staff and added that <br />the tour was wonderful. <br />Met Councilmember Reynoso stated that Ramsey has great visioning and a great plan. <br />2.2) Discuss Policies and Practices regarding Nuisance Behavior at Alpine's Skate Park <br />Parks Supervisor Riverblood reported that there has been some reports of nuisances at Alpine's <br />Skate Park such as graffiti, litter, etc. He suggested that if problems would continue, and if <br />Council is agreeable, staff could temporarily close the park. He noted that in the 2011 CIP there <br />is funding for a camera for this location as well. <br />Police Chief Way stated that in 2010, there were a total of 17 complaints. We have patrolled the <br />park and have not witnessed some of the things that were complained about. We have made <br />City Council Work Session — March 29, 2011 <br />Page 3 of 11 <br />
