Councilmember <br />moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #90-11 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR HANDRAIL AND <br />GATE INSTALLATION AT RIVER'S BEND PARK (PROJECT #90-29) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the <br />improvements to River's Bend Park (Project 90-29), bids were <br />received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following <br />bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br /> <br />Bidder <br /> <br />Amount of Bid <br /> <br />selby Ornamental Iron Co. <br />DNCON, Inc. <br /> <br />$11,385.00 <br />$25,577.50 <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that Selby Ornamental Iron Co. of <br />St. Paul, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator/Clerk are hereby <br />authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Selby <br />Ornamental Iron Co. of St. Paul, Minnesota in the name of the City <br />of Ramsey for installation of handrails and access road gate at <br />River's Bend Park according to the plans and specifications <br />therefore approved by the Ramsey City Council and on file in the <br />office of the City Administrator/Clerk. <br /> <br /> 2) The City Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized and <br />directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with <br />their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and <br />next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been <br />signed. <br /> <br /> 3) That this project shall be funded from Economic <br />Development Revolving Loan Funds (CDBG funds) and that the Finance <br />Director receive a copy of this signed resolution. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by <br />the Ramsey City Council this the 27th day of November, 1990. <br /> <br /> <br />
