CASE #~[ <br /> <br /> RAMSEY FIRE RELIEF ASSOCIATION BY-LAWS <br />BY: Ramsey Fire Department Relief Association Committee <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />By-Laws' for the Ramsey Fire Relief Association must be filed with the State of Minnesota for <br />the purpose of the Relief Association receiving their allotment of state aid. The By-Laws must <br />be completed and filed by December 31, 1990 to receive money for 1991. The Ramsey Fire <br />Department voted earlier during the 1990 year to not accept any additional members until the <br />Relief Association is in place. Currently, the Department is short six Fire Fighters. <br /> <br />Members of the Ramsey Fire Department are asking for the Ramsey City Council to approve the <br />By-Laws for the Ramsey Fire Department Relief Association. <br /> <br />For general information purposes, Articles of Incorporation for the Ramsey Fire Relief <br />Association have been submitted to the Minnesota Secretary of State, along with City's payment <br />of Seventy and No/100 Dollars ($70.00). Our City Attorney recommended this check be <br />handled as a cash advance to the Association until such time as a determination is made as to the <br />City's position regarding such costs. <br /> <br />A copy of the By-Laws has been given to William Goodrich, City Attorney, for review and <br />comment at tonight's meeting. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />To approve the attached By-Laws for the Ramsey Fire Department Relief Association. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br />City Attorney <br />City Finance Officer <br />Ramsey Fire Department Relief Association Committee <br /> <br /> <br />
