I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />i <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> RAMSEY <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />RELIEF ASSOCIATION BY-LAWS <br /> <br />ARTICLE I, BOARD OF TRUSTEES. <br /> <br />SECTION 1, BOARD OF TRUSTEES. <br /> <br />The Board of Trustees of the Ramsey Fire Department Relief Association, Anoka <br />County, Minnesota shall be composed of a President, a Vice President, a Secretary, a <br />Treasurer, and two general trustees. In addition, the statutory ex officio members, the <br />Chief of the Ramsey Fire Department, the Mayor, and the Ramsey Finance Officer. <br /> <br />SECTION 2, ELECTION. <br /> <br />There shall be an annual meeting of the members of the Ramsey Fire Department <br />Relief Association, Inc. on the third Thursday in January for the election of <br />administrators. At all such meetings of the association, each member of the relief <br />association shall be entitled to vote, and the 51% majority of the votes cast shall be <br />required to elect any administrator of the association. Elections of m~stees as follows: <br /> <br />Two general trustees shall be elected for a three year term. Nomination and voting <br />will be on one position. In the event that more than two nominations are made in one <br />position, the two nominees receiving the most votes shall enter a run-off election; the <br />nominee receiving 51% of the votes cast being the winner. In the event of a tie vote, <br />an additional run-off election shall be held; the one with 51% of the votes cast being <br />determined the winner. Thereafter the trustees shall elect their own officers; <br />President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. If a vacancy (other than a <br />vacancy caused by removal for cause on an officer or trustee) occurs during the term <br />of office of any officer or general trustee, the remaining members of the board of <br />trustees shall elect a member of the association to serve for the unexpired term of the <br />vacated position, <br /> <br />SECTION 3, REMOVAL FROM OFFICE. <br /> <br />A general trustee or officer may be removed for cause. Cause for removal shall <br />include, but shall not be limited to, the breach of the duties as set forth in Articles II <br />and III of these bylaws. One or more of the trustees or officers may be removed at a <br />meeting of the membership which is called for the purpose by a majority of those <br />present and voting at such meeting. No officer or general trustee shall be removed <br />unless prior notice of at least 5 days before the meeting at which removal is to be <br />considered states such purpose. When an officer or general trustee has been removed, <br />new offices or general trustees shall be elected at the same meeting to serve until the <br />next annual meeting of the members, and until their successors have been elected and <br />have qualified. <br /> <br />SECTION 4, COMPENSATION. <br /> <br />Trustees as such shall receive no compensation for their services, the President, <br />Secretary, and Treasurer may be paid such compensation as the members of the <br />association may establish at the annual or any special meeting. <br /> <br />RAMSEY FIRE DEPARTMENT RELIEF ASSOCIATION BY-LAWS <br />Page 1 of 8 <br />11-13-90 <br /> <br /> <br />
