I I I I I I ! I I I I ! i I I I I I RAMSEY FIRE DEPARTMENT RELIEF ASSOCIATION BY-LAWS ARTICLE I, BOARD OF TRUSTEES. SECTION 1, BOARD OF TRUSTEES. The Board of Trustees of the Ramsey Fire Department Relief Association, Anoka County, Minnesota shall be composed of a President, a Vice President, a Secretary, a Treasurer, and two general trustees. In addition, the statutory ex officio members, the Chief of the Ramsey Fire Department, the Mayor, and the Ramsey Finance Officer. SECTION 2, ELECTION. There shall be an annual meeting of the members of the Ramsey Fire Department Relief Association, Inc. on the third Thursday in January for the election of administrators. At all such meetings of the association, each member of the relief association shall be entitled to vote, and the 51% majority of the votes cast shall be required to elect any administrator of the association. Elections of m~stees as follows: Two general trustees shall be elected for a three year term. Nomination and voting will be on one position. In the event that more than two nominations are made in one position, the two nominees receiving the most votes shall enter a run-off election; the nominee receiving 51% of the votes cast being the winner. In the event of a tie vote, an additional run-off election shall be held; the one with 51% of the votes cast being determined the winner. Thereafter the trustees shall elect their own officers; President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. If a vacancy (other than a vacancy caused by removal for cause on an officer or trustee) occurs during the term of office of any officer or general trustee, the remaining members of the board of trustees shall elect a member of the association to serve for the unexpired term of the vacated position, SECTION 3, REMOVAL FROM OFFICE. A general trustee or officer may be removed for cause. Cause for removal shall include, but shall not be limited to, the breach of the duties as set forth in Articles II and III of these bylaws. One or more of the trustees or officers may be removed at a meeting of the membership which is called for the purpose by a majority of those present and voting at such meeting. No officer or general trustee shall be removed unless prior notice of at least 5 days before the meeting at which removal is to be considered states such purpose. When an officer or general trustee has been removed, new offices or general trustees shall be elected at the same meeting to serve until the next annual meeting of the members, and until their successors have been elected and have qualified. SECTION 4, COMPENSATION. Trustees as such shall receive no compensation for their services, the President, Secretary, and Treasurer may be paid such compensation as the members of the association may establish at the annual or any special meeting.
