Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #90-11- RESOLUTION OFFERING SENIOR ACCOUNTANT POSITION TO MARY SORENSEN GOMEZ WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey posted and advertised the position of Senior Accountant in the Finance Department in salary grade 5; and WHEREAS, thirty-nine (39) City of Ramsey applications were received for the position; and WHEREAS, eight (8) applicants were contacted and interviewed for the position by Personnel Coordinator Kay McAloney and Finance Officer Sandra Ashley; and WHEREAS, two (2) finalists were interviewed by City Administrator Hartley and Finance Officer Ashley, and also by the Personnel Committee on October 9, 1990; and WHEREAS, City Staff recommended that the position of Senior Accountant be offered to Mary Sorensen Gomez at the six-month rate of salary grade 5, $27,494 annually; and WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee agreed with the recommendation of Staff; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council approved the recommendation of the Personnel Committee at the regular City Council meeting on October 9, 1990; and WHEREAS, Ms. Gomez was offered and accepted the position of Senior Accountant and began employment with the City of Ramsey on October 24, 1990. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council confn'm the offer to and acceptance by Mary Sorensen Gomez for the position of Senior Accountant in salary grade 5 to begin employment October 24, 1990 at $27,494 annually. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 27th day of November, 1990.
