Hankanson, Anderson, Associates, Inc. 222 Monroe Street Anoka, MN 55303 Subject: 153rd Avenue - City of Ramsey Dear Mr. Raatikka: Enclosed find an expense reimbursement agreement form along with an estimate of charges for United Power Association's (UPA) portion of the above-referenced project. This revised estimate represents the cost of holding UPA Str. 157 and 158 located between road stationing 86+00 and 89+00. The estimate does not include lowering or holding Structures 171 and 172 located between road stationing 32+00 and 35+00. At the pre-construction meeting you indicated that you could re-design the road in this area thereby reducing the cut and eliminating the necessity of involving UPA Structures 171 & 172. Please let me know if road elevation will not change in which case'we will need to make adjustment on these poles. The approximate cost of lowering and holding the respective poles is roughly $10,000.00. Since this is a city project, UPA intends to deal solely with the city to recover costs associated with UPA's involvement. It would be up to the city to obtain reimbursement from the contractor if the bid specification specify that the contractor is responsible for utility costs. Please have the enclosed reimbursement agreement signed by the appropriate city officials and return it to me in the enclosed envelope. Feel free to contact me if you have questions or concerns.
