In <br />conjunction with the preliminary design, we have determined that <br />it may be desirable to improve the alignment of CR #83 at the <br />North end of the project particularly in the area between Rabbit <br />Street and Baugh Street NW. <br /> <br />This realignment would consist of the construction of a one-half <br />(½) mile length of roadway diagonally across the Northeast <br />Quarter of Section 7 in the City of Ramsey. Please find enclosed <br />a copy of a portion of the Ramsey City Map which indicates the <br />proposed alignment on it, along with a copy of a more detailed <br />drawing for the Northerly ½ mile of that stretch of roadway. <br /> <br />We are seeking the concurrence of the City Council of Ramsey in <br />proposing this alignment based on the following conditions: <br /> <br />1) The City of Ramsey would concur with the realignment <br /> of the roadway as shown on these sketches. <br /> <br />2) That the City of Ramsey would agree to the turnback <br /> to City jurisdiction of that part of CR #83 which <br /> extends from Northeast Corner of the Northeast <br /> Quarter of Section 7 approximately .4 of a mile to <br /> the South. The area of proposed turnback is shown <br /> on the enclosed drawing. <br /> <br />As I understand it you would appreciate the opportunity to <br />discuss this matter informally with your Council at which time <br />you would get back to this office concerning the proposal. As I <br />indicated in our earlier discussion, we are anxious to proceed <br />with planning for this construction and the actual acquisition of <br />right-of-way so we would hope that the City of Ramsey would <br />respond to this letter in the very near future. <br /> <br />Affirmative Action / Equal Opportunity Employer <br /> <br /> <br />
