Ms. Sylvia Frolik January 16, 1991 Page 2 (i) A triangular parcel has been eliminated from Lot 5, Block 4, one of the golf course lots. Additional lake construction is expected in the omitted area and it was thought best to defer platting until such proposed excavation is further defined. This change appears on the proposed Final Plat of NLA. (2) Northfork Fifth was approved with a trail corridor winding through it. Certain portions of the trail are 75 feet wide and other portions 35 feet wide. Upon completion of the golf course layout, it was discovered that there is a certain conflict between the trail alignment and proposed golf course layout in the vicinity of the UPA substation. We addressed this issue with the Park Commission at its January meeting, and the Commission felt there would be no problem in diminishing the width of the trail from 75 feet to 45 feet for a few hundred feet in this area. This proposed change has not yet been incorporated into the submitted final Plat, but revisions will be available prior to the Council meeting on January 22nd. It is anticipated that golf course construction will commence in March; that site grading, seeding and bridge construction will be completed this year; that the clubhouse parking lot and adjoining buildings will be constructed in the Spring of 1992; and that the course will have its grand opening by July 4 of 1992. The golf course has been designed by Mr. Joel Goldstrand of Fairway Architects, Inc.; will be built and owned by Glenn Rehbein Excavating, Inc.; and will be managed and operated by Great Scot Golf, Inc. Representatives of these parties will be available on January 22nd for a short presentation and to answer any questions the Council or staff may have. We have reviewed the Final Plat and the Engineering submittals with your City Attorney and City Engineer.
