Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #91-01- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEW SET OF BY-LAWS FOR THE RAMSEY <br />FIRE FIGHTERS' RELIEF ASSOCIATION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey Fire Fighters' Relief Association has incorporated under <br />Minnesota Statutes Chapter 317A, known as the Minnesota Non-profit Corporation Act; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Relief Association has adopted By-laws for review and ratification by <br />the City Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey Fire Board has unanimously recommended approval of the <br />By-laws as presented; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, MSA §424A.02 requires municipal ratification of Relief Association By- <br />laws; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council hereby finds that the proposed By-laws are fair to both the Fire <br />Fighters Relief Association members and the City as a whole. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves and ratifies the By-laws of the Ramsey Fire <br /> Fighters' Relief Association, which By-laws are dated January, 1991. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 22nd day of January, 1991. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />
