Councilmember for its adoption introduced the following resolution and moved RESOLUTION #91-02-XX RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A PUMPER AND HOSES FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, the purchase of an additional pumper equipped with hoses is is essential for mutual aid support from the surrounding Anoka County and Elk River Fire Departments; and WHEREAS, this purchase was funded in the 1991 budget in the total amount of Forty Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($40,000.00) with the revenue source designated as the Landfill Expendable Trust Fund; and WHEREAS, the Fire Department has located a 1971 International Harvester 750 gpm pumper with a 750 gallon water tank that is available from General Safety Equipment Corporation; and WItEREAS, this pumper will need to be equipped with hoses at an approximate cost of Three Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($3,000.00); and WHEREAS, the purchase of the pumper and hoses will not exceed Forty Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($40,000.00); and WHEREAS, the Fire Board has recommended the Ramsey City Council approve this purchase due to its essential status for mutual aid. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council hereby authorizes the Fire Chief to purchase the 1971 International Harvester pumper and necessary hoses for a not-to-exceed total of Forty Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($40,000.00) 2) That the City Council hereby directs the Finance Officer. to transfer the actual cost from the Landfill Expendable Trust fund as a other financing source to the General Fund.
