i <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Recessed or Continued Heetinqs: <br /> <br />If a meeting is recessed or continued session of a previous <br />meeting, and the time and place of the meeting was established <br />during the previous meeting and recorded in the minutes of <br />that meeting, then no further published or mailed notice is <br />necessary. <br /> <br />The open meeting law also requires that the official body must <br />record the votes of its members at all public meetings; that any <br />one may tape record a public meeting; and that at least one copy <br />of printed materials relating to agenda items prepared by staff or <br />the governing body be available for public inspection while the <br />governing body considers the subject. <br /> <br />The above is a brief overview of the Minnesota's Open Meeting Law. <br />Various Supreme Court cases have interpreted particular sections <br />of the law in some detail as applied to specific instances.
