March 12, 1991 marks the 79th year our organization has <br />been preparing girls to meet the challenges of our every changing <br />society. We are proud of the accomplishments and look forward to <br />the challenges that lie ahead° <br /> <br />Additionally, we at the Greater Minneapolis Girl Scout Council are <br />pleased to note the unprecedented growth in our girl membership <br />(this is the eighth year of increase) and to appreciate the support <br />of all segments of our community. I am writing to request <br />recognition from your city in the form of a proclamation which <br />designates March 10 - 16, 1991 as Girl Scout Week. I have enclosed <br />sample wording for such a proclamation° <br /> <br />As in the past, please produce a proclamation on your city <br />letterhead or form, post it in your City Hall and then forward the <br />proclamation to our offices at the end of the month. If I can be <br />of any assistance in the process or you would like to discuss the <br />girls of your community, please do not hesitate to call me.
