(WMMI) requests that the <br />City of Ramsey issue a Conditional Use Permit for the <br />construction and operation of a groundwater pump-out and <br />treatment system at the Anoka Regional Sanitary Landfill. The <br />Pump-out and treatment facility will consist of the following <br />components: <br /> <br />Se <br /> <br />12 barrier wells located immediately south and east <br />of the landfill designed to be pumped at a rate of <br />25 gallons per minute that will act as a barrier to <br />prevent further spread of contamination from the <br />landfill. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Ds <br /> <br />Co <br /> <br />de <br /> <br />8 recovery wells located south-southeast of the <br />landfill designed to be pumped at a rate of 100 <br />gallons per minute that will recover the <br />contamination plume that has moved away from the <br />landfill. <br /> <br />An underground collection system consisting of 4,100 <br />feet of gravity sewer and 2,850 feet of forcemain <br />to carried the pumped groundwater to the treatment <br />facility. <br /> <br />A groundwater treatment facility located south of <br />the landfill. The treatment facility will consist <br />of two 30 foot tall air stripping towers, two carbon <br />filters, building to house blowers and controls, one <br />lift station, a sump to contain cleaning water, and <br />a discharge sump. The entire treatment facility <br />will be constructed on a concrete slab that is <br />approximately 40 feet by 40 feet. <br /> <br /> <br />
