Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #91-04- RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE 1991 STREET CRACK SEALING PROGRAM WHEREAS, pursuant to a request for price quotes for this project, quotes were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following quotes were received complying with the request: BIDDER AMOUNT OF BID Bergman Co., Inc. Bituminous Roadways, Inc. $11,710.70 $12,355.20 AND WHEREAS, it appears that Bergman Companies, Inc. of Eau Claire, Wisconsin is the lowest responsible bidder; and WHEREAS, this project will be funded under a combination of special assessments, MSA Construction Funds and the City's General Fund. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator/Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Bergman Companies, Inc. of Eau Claire, Wisconsin in the name of the City of Ramsey for the 1991 Street Crack Sealing Program according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the Ramsey City Council and on file in the office of the City Administrator/Clerk. 2) That the City Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 23rd day of April, 1991.
