47 <br /> <br /> Animal ?~ <br />Humane Society <br /> <br />1411 Main Street · Coon Rapids, MN 55433 · (612) 754-1642 <br /> <br />For those <br />without words <br /> <br />April 1, 1991 <br /> <br /> The City of Ramsey <br />Mayor and Council Members <br /> <br />The Greater Anoka County Humane Society would like you to proclaim <br />May 5 - 11, 1991 BE KIND TO ANIMALS WEEK in the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS: We have been endowed not only with the blessings and <br />benefits of our animal friends, who give us companionship and great <br />pleasure in our daily lives, but also with a firm responsibility <br />to protect these fellow creatures with which we share the earth <br />from need, pain, fear and suffering; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS= we recognize that teaching attitudes of kindness, con- <br />sideration and respect for all living things through humane educa- <br />tion in the schools and the community helps to provide basic values <br />on which a humane and civilized society is built; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS: the people in the City of Ramsey are deeply indebted <br />to the GREATER ANOKA COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY for their invaluable <br />contribution in caring for lost and unwanted animals, instilling <br />humane values in our children through humane education programs, <br />and promoting a true working spirit of kindness and consideration <br />for animals in the minds and hearts of all people, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS: the first full week of May has been set as the annual <br />celebration of the national week observing the philosophy of kind- <br />ness to animals. <br /> <br />Thank you in advance for your time and consideration. <br /> <br />~ichael Schollmeyer /// <br /> <br /> <br />
