EDUCATION POLICY <br /> <br />The current education policy for the City of Ramsey set forth in the <br />Ramsey City Code states that any city employee attending and favorably <br />completing the continuing education will be eligible for the <br />reimbursement of the cost of tuition and materials as follows: <br /> 1. The education must be directly related to the employee's job <br /> description. <br /> <br /> 2. The educational course must be approved by the City Council <br /> before the employee commences attendance. <br /> <br /> 3. Unless otherwise agreed to by the City Council, continuing <br /> employee education will not affect the employee's salary <br /> schedule. <br /> <br /> PROPOSED EDUCATION POLICY <br /> <br />The current education policy for the City of Ramsey set forth in the <br />Ramsey City Code states that any full-time city employee attending and <br />favorably (C or better) completing the continuing education will be <br />eligible for the reimbursement of the cost of tuition and materiaIs as <br />follows' <br /> <br /> 1. The education must be directly related to the employee's job <br /> description. <br /> <br /> 2. The educational course must be specifically approved by the <br /> appropriate Department Head and by the City Council before the <br /> employee commences attendance and approved course must be <br /> taken at an employer approved facility. Correspondence <br /> courses will not be eligible for reimbursement. <br /> <br /> 3. Unless otherwise agreed to by the City Council, continuing <br /> employee education will not affect the employee's salary <br /> schedule. <br /> <br /> <br />
