CASE # ~'~ <br /> <br />ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE REGARDING STREET LIGHTING <br /> By: Steven Jankowski, City Engineer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />At the February 27, 1991 City Council meeting, a policy regarding the location and installation of <br />City street lighting was considered and adopted. That policy established a street lighting system <br />for priority intersections. A Council directive from that meeting was to amend the City Ordinance <br />consistent with the adopted policy. <br /> <br />At the May 14, 1991 City Council meeting, the attached ordinance was introduced by the City <br />Council. <br /> <br />Also attached is a copy of the policy adopted at the February 27, 1991 City Council meeting <br />defining the street light priorities in the City. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />City Staff recommends the adoption of the attached ordinance and the publication of the ordinance <br />on May 31, 1991. The ordinance would then become effective on June 30, 1991. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Adopt Ordinance//91- to amend City Code to require developers to install priority street <br />lighting as a Phase I Improvement. <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />Direct Staff to publish Ordinance <br /> <br />on May 31, 1991 in the official city newspaper. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br />Project Manager <br />City Engineer <br />City Attorney <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />CC: 05/28/91 <br /> <br /> <br />
