Acquired Immune Deficiency <br />Syndrome is an epidemic that has already killed <br />thousands of people, mostlyyoung, productive <br />Americans. In addition to illness, disability, and <br />death, AIDS has brought tear to the hearts of most <br />Americans-fem' of disease and fear of the unknown. <br />Initial reporting of AiDS'occurred in the United <br />States, but AIDS and the spread of the AIDS virus <br />is an international problem. This report focuses on <br />prevention that could be applied in all counmes. <br />My report will inform you about AIDS, how it is <br />transmitted, the relative risks of infection and how <br />to prevent ir. It will help you understand your lears. <br />Fear can be useful when it helps people avoid behav: <br />ior that puts them at risk forAIDS. On the other <br />hand, unreasonable lear can be as crippling as the <br />disease itself.
