CASE #1 REPORT FROM PERSONNEL COMMITTEE By: Kay McAIoney, Personnel Coordinator Background: A Personnel Committee meeting was held at 7:15 p.m. on May 28, 1991 at Ramsey City Hall. Present for the meeting were Councilmembers Beyer and Hardin. 1. Position of Patrol Officer for the Police Department: At the Budget Committee meeting of May 14, 1991, the Committee recommended that the position of Patrol Officer be filled approximately September 1,1991 and that their recommendation be forwarded to the Personnel Committee. The Personnel Committee reviewed the request for an additional Patrol Officer for the Police Department and the recommendation of the Budget Committee. The Personnel Committee agreed with the recommendations of staff and the Budget Committee to fill the position approximately September 1, 1991. 2. Position of Public Works Maintenance Worker for the Public Works Department: The Budget Committee reviewed the request for an additional Public Works Maintenance Worker for the Public Works Department at their meeting on May 28, 1991. The Committee approved the request and recommended that the Personnel Committee review it at their meeting also held on May 28, 1991. The Personnel Committee reviewed the request and agreed with the recommendation of the Budget Committee to fill the position of Public Works Maintenance Worker approximately July 1, 1991. Recommendation: That the City Council approve the recommendations of the Personnel and Budget Committees. I I Council Action: Motion to approve/not approve the recommendations of the Personnel and Budget Committees to fill the positions of Patrol Officer and Public Works Maintenance Worker and direct staff to proceed with advertising for the positions.
