This position is <br />responsible for the daily administration and coordination of all City affairs in accordance with <br />the City Charter, Code, ordinances, resolutions, and directives from City Council. <br /> <br />RESPONSIBILITIES: <br /> <br />A. General City Administration. <br />B. Personnel Administration. <br />C. Participate in City Council Meetings. <br />D. Financial Activities. <br />F_ City Representation and Community Affairs. <br />F. Perform a wide range of tasks (within the ability and resources of the City Administrator) <br /> at the verbal or written direction of the City Council. <br /> <br />TASKS RELATED TO RESPONSIBILITIES: <br /> <br />General City Administration. <br />1. Develop and issue such administrative rules, regulations, and procedures as may be <br /> necessary for the proper functioning and coordination of the City's affairs consistent <br /> with state and local ordinances and City Council policy. <br /> Assure that the City Charter, Code, ordinances, and resolutions are properly <br /> interpreted and communicated. <br /> Enforce and implement the City's laws and ordinances; recommend changes, <br /> amendments, or repeal of appropriate ordinances to the City Council. <br /> Recommend to the Council such measures as may be necessary or expedient for the <br /> health, safety, and welfare of the community or for the improvement of the <br /> administration. <br />5. Monitor and enforce all contracts entered into by the City. <br />6. Assure the desired level of service to the community is being provided. <br /> <br />Personnel Administration. <br />1. Supervise and direct all departments, offices, and divisions of the City consistent with <br /> City Council policy and applicable laws. <br />2. Supervise and direct all City Council appointed consultants. <br />3. Assist in the selection of new employees and make hiring recommendations to the City <br /> Council. <br /> <br /> <br />
