JOB PERFORMANCE <br /> <br />COORDINATION In carrying out the functions of local government, Staff members <br />shall direct and coordinate their efforts in such manner as will tend to establish and maintain <br />the highest standards of efficiency. <br /> <br />REPORTING FOR WORK Members of the Staff shall be punctual in reporting for work <br />at the time designated by the City. Sickness or illness should be reported by the Staff <br />member to their supervisor prior to the time said Staff member is due to report for work. <br />Once having reported off sick, the Staff member shall keep their supervisor advised as to <br />their status, if the absence is of more than three days duration. <br /> <br />SCOPE OF WORK Job descriptions or position analysis shall not be used to limit the <br />scope of work. Rather a willingness to assist other Staff members and the public shall be <br />the responsibility of every Staff member (within the individual Staff member's limits of <br />ability and experience, and not in violation of any financial internal controls as described in <br />standard operating procedures.) <br /> <br />DEVOTION q)F TIME TO CITY BUSINESS Each Staff member of the City shall <br /> <br />devote their whole time and attention to the services of the City and is expressly prohibited <br />from being engaged in any other business while at work. <br /> <br />.USE OF DRUGS Staff members shall not use any narcotics or hallucinogens except <br />when prescribed in the treatment by a physician or dentist. When narcotics or <br />hallucinogens are prescribed, Staff members shall notify their supervisor. <br /> <br />USE OF ALCOHOL AT WORK Staff members shall not appear for work or be at <br />work while under the influence of intoxicants. <br /> <br />OPERATION OF VEHI~T,ES Staff members shall operate City vehicles in a careful <br /> <br />and prudent manner and shall obey all laws of the State and all City orders pertaining to <br />such operation. Staff members shall set a proper example for other persons by their <br />operation of a vehicle.
