Personnel Policy § 3£0 <br /> <br />complete the promotional probationary period may be returned to the <br />employee's pre-promotion job classification. <br /> <br />3.20.05 Compensation- <br /> <br /> Subdivision L Employees of the city shall be compensated <br />according to the schedule established by the City Council. Any wage, <br />salary, or other monetary benefit so established is the total remuneration <br />for employment which may be allowed for the conduct of official business, <br />but shall not be considered as reimbursement for official travel or other <br />expenses. Unless approved by the council, no employee shall receive pay <br />from the city in addition to the salary authorized for the position or positions <br />to which the employee has been appointed. <br /> <br /> Subd. 2. Whenever an employee works for a period less than <br />the regularly established n~mber of hours a day, days a week, or weeks a <br />month, the amount paid shall bear the same relationship to the full-time <br />rate for the position as time actually worked bears to the time required for <br />full-time service. Temporary employees are not entitled to sick leave, <br />vacation leave, medical reimbursement, or holidays with pay. <br /> <br /> Sub& 3. Non-Exempt employees who have elected to receive <br />compensatory time rather than overtime shall receive compensatory time <br />at a rate of 1-1/2 hours for each hour worked in excess of 40 hours per week <br />as approved by the City Administrator or designated representative. <br />Compensatory time shall be taken as approved by the City Administrator or <br />designated representative. Any employee with banked compensatory time <br />in excess of 40 hours may elect to receive payment for said excess hours, or <br />any part thereof, by making written application to the City Administrator <br />prior to the end of the pay period for the first payday in December. Payment <br />for said compensatory time in excess of 40 hours shall be computed at 100% <br />of the employee's current rate of pay. No employee shall bank <br />compensatory time in excess of 40 hours. Employee terminating <br />employment or any employee terminated shall receive compensation for all <br />banked compensatory time at 100% of employee's rate of pay at the time of <br />termination. <br /> <br /> Sub& 4. Employees shall be paid biweekly. When a pay day <br />falls on a holiday, employees shall receive their pay the preceding work day. <br /> <br /> Sub& 5. No employee shall be permitted to receive from any <br />third party payment for services and labor performed while such employee <br />is working regular hours or while working additional overtime hours. <br /> <br />3.20.06 Work hours. The regular work week for employees is five 8- <br />hour working days in addition to a lunch period, Monday through Friday, <br />except as otherwise established by the department head in accordance with <br />needs of the department. <br /> <br />3.20.07 Vacation leave with pay. <br /> <br /> <br />
