Councitmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION ~91-07- RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE 1991 STREET SEALCOATING PROGRAM WHEREAS, pursuant to a request for sealed bids for this project, bids were advertised for,received, opened and tabulated according to law; and t WHEREAS, it appears that Bituminous Roadways Inc. of Minneapolis, MN is the lowest responsible bidder, and WHEREAS, the lowest responsible bid received was in the amount of $34,761.43; and WHEREAS, this project will be funded under a combination of special assessments, MSA Construction Funds and the City's General Fund. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract in the amount of $34,761.43 with Bituminous Roadways Inc. of Minneapolis, MN in the name of the City of Ramsey for the 1991 Street Sealcoating Program according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the Ramsey City Council and on file in the office of the City Administrator. 2) That the City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duty seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duty passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 9th day of July, 1991.
