Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #91-08- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY ENGINEER TO REQUEST A TRAFFIC <br />STUDY FOR STATE HIGHWAY #47 FROM THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT <br />OF TRANSPORTATION (MnDOT) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, representatives from the City of Ramsey have met with representatives <br />from the City of Anoka to discuss areas of mutual concern; and <br /> <br /> WltEREAS, during these discussions, the City of Anoka has expressed a concern for <br />southbound traffic on State Highway #47 as it approaches the area of the grade crossing with the <br />Burlington Northern Railroad within the City of Anoka; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the nature of the land use between said railroad crossing and the northern <br />border of the City of Ramsey along State Highway #47 is residential in nature; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the residential densities along this corridor are continuing to increase with <br />several pending plat approvals within adjacent properties. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized to request a traffic study by MnDOT for the <br /> roadway known as State Highway #47 <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 13th day of August, 1991. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
