I <br /> <br />I CASE #4 <br /> <br /> RECEIVE BIDS AND AWARD CONTRACT FOR PROJECT #91-01 <br />I HIGHWAY #10 SANITARY SEWER AND WATERMAIN <br /> By: Steven J. Jankowski, City Engineer <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />! <br /> <br />1 <br />I <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Improvement Project g91-01 involves the construction of sanitary sewer and watermain to service <br />five properties located along the north side of Highway #10 from the eastern City limits to J.R.'s <br />Saloon. Bids for the project were opened on Thursday, October 17, 1991. A total of 21 <br />contractors took out plans on the project and we received bids from eight. A copy of the bid <br />tabulation is enclosed. The basic bid anticipates the project starting on or about November 4, 1991 <br />and being complete within 45 calendar days. At the time of this writing, the City needs to receive a <br />right-of-entry over one property to facilitate the project. A decision on this right-of-entry is <br />anticipated some time near the Council meeting. An alternate bid for pursuing the project was <br />requested of the bidders. This alternate would anticipate the project being constructed during the <br />Spring of 1992. <br /> <br />Recommendations: <br /> <br />I will be in contact with the low bid contractors and the affected property owners regarding the <br />results of this bidding.
