COUNCILMEMBER RICHARD CICH RESIGNS: REPLACEMENT TO BE APPOINTED Councitmember Richard Cich has resigned from the City Council effective January 14, 1992. According to the City Charter, when a vacancy in an elected office of the City occurs with 365 days or more remaining in the term of the vacated office, there shall be a special election within 90 days to elect a successor. When there remains less than 365 days in the unexpired term, the City Council shall by a majority vote appoint a successor to serve for the remainder of said term. Councilmember Cich's term expires December 31, 1992 and based on that, the City Council will be taking applications for the Council vacancy. Any residents wishing to be considered for the position should send a letter of interest to City Administrator Ryan Schroeder, Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, MN 55303. Letters will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 1992. Appointment of a replacement councilmember will be on the January 14, 1992 City Council agenda.for consideration.
