Discussion ensued regarding contacting the City of Andover to see if the5' would be interested in <br />sharing a Community Education Coordinator. It was suggested to inquire if the City could request <br />Claudia Dodge as its coordinator. <br /> <br />Case #2: Financial Reports for the Year Ended 12/31/90 <br /> <br />Mrs. Helling stated that the "City Financial Reporting Form" was submitted to the State Auditor's <br />office on June 21, 1991, and the City's auditing fu'm is reviewing the Comprehensive Annual <br />Financial Report. She stated she would present a more detailed annual reporx which is easier to <br />read than the CAFR. She explained that the expenditures for the different subfunctions are <br />basically favorable. The City is pretty much on target for capital outlay. The overall status of <br />$23,000 unfavorable is not too bad, all things considered. Mrs. Helling explained the adjustments <br />in the final budget amendments. She suggested that the City could be more aware of grants <br />available to them. She suggested that City Council could designate interest earnings from the <br />Landfill Funds for City parks. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding the amount the firm Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. is being <br />used and it was decided that Mr. Schroeder would have to discuss this with Mr. Jankowski. <br /> <br />It was suggested that Zoning Administrator Sylvia Fmlik's time be addressed with respect to being <br />able to charge it to different projects. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Hardin to recommend the <br />Ramsey City Council adopt the resolution amending the City of Rarnsey's 1990 Budget. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer and Hardin. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #3: Discuss DNR Tree Planting Program <br /> <br />Mrs. Helling stated she had received some grant information from Bruce Bacon. Mr. Bacon <br />suggested requesting $3,000 for trees and about $2,000 for a tree population survey and develop a <br />plan how the City of Ramsey will deal with this population.
